Not all old people are cuddly, lovely, wise warm folks. Getting older entitles you to some things to my mind - a hefty amount of respect to be true. A seat on the bus, a helping hand with a heavy bag, a door held open. It doesn't entitle you to be rude and SKIP queues for example, as the old bloke in the newsagents today seemed to think. Long queue, and there's me with buggy and shopping waiting my turn patiently and this old codger walks up stands beside me (not behind me in the queue) and blatantly skips it. Pushing his Lotto slip in ahead of me ignoring my very existence. I almost wished the little fella would let out a roar! Anyone who knows me knows this makes my blood boil. I strictly adhere to queuing rules and expect everyone to do so. You only skip if invited to do so by the person in front and if he'd asked me, maybe I'd have let him. But no. He had the attitude of, "I'm a regular, doing the Lotto and deaf so it makes no difference if you complain." I gave him the evils instead, and thought to myself well some people are just born cnuts and will remain so until they die.
Ahhhhhh, so that's what blogging is for. Getting it off your chest. Gosh, husbag will be happy saved him an earful!
